South Africa SABS TC 184 represented at the 72nd ISO TC 184 SC4 meeting held in Seattle Washington October 2016
The ISO work group that is responsible for the development and improvement of ISO 8000 standard called the ISO Technical Committee 184, sub-committee 4, work group 13(TC 184 SC4 WG13) held their biannual meeting in October 2016 in Seattle, Washington, USA. Representatives from 12 of the 17 voting countries attended the work sessions and the South African Bureau of Standards (SABS) was represented by Dr Salomon de Jager in his capacity as chairman of the SABS TC 184 SC4 mirror committee. Professor Michael Mielke from Deutche Bahn and Kiel University of Applied Sciences (FH-Kiel) as well as Professor Olaf Jacob from Neu-Ulm University of Applied Sciences (HNU) visited South Africa in September, 2016.
Professor Mielke visited PiLog in Centurion to participate in a one day work shop to discuss solutions relating to Data Quality in Rail Networks.
